This certification is currently under development. We actively seek members with an All Access Pass to beta test the essential body of knowledge, preparation course, and exam.

What is the IGOP?

The Integrated Governance & Oversight Professional (IGOP) certification offers the most comprehensive, modern, and versatile certification program for audit and assurance.

The IGOP uniquely integrates the principles and practices from departments and teams such as:

• Boards of Directors
• Executive teams and committees

This diverse and interdisciplinary approach ensures that you have the skills to provide governance and oversight throughout the organization.

What does the IGOP cover?

The IGOP covers several areas, including:

• Setting mission, vision, values
• Setting and vetting strategy
• Establishing systems to address uncertainty
• Establishing systems to address mandatory and voluntary obligations
• Fundamental duties of loyalty, care and obedience

Is the exam open book?

YES! OCEG exams are open book, like the real world. You may use Google Search and other websites, plus your own notes and OCEG materials, to look things up.

You may not use AI. That includes ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, and any other tool that generates or suggests answers for you. If Google shows an AI overview or switches you into AI Mode, do not use it. Open the web page yourself and read it.

If our systems detect AI usage, OCEG reserves the right to revoke your certificate and ban your account immediately.

How do I prepare for the IGOP?

The IGOP is based on the open-source Governance & Oversight Capability Model. This model is taught in our Audit & Assurance Fundamentals course and via our training partners.
